This weapon to be used when engaging an opponent inside the 20 meter minimum engagement distance.

GENERAL GAME RULES

HIT RULE:

A player is deemed HIT when any part of there body or direct personal equipment is hit by a BB shot at them by the enemy or by way of friendly fire from a member of their own team.

Any part of the body means exactly that any part be it the tip of a boot or finger to an ear!

Direct personal equipment refers to any equipment that the player is in contact with at the time of being shot this includes items such as:

• Any part of the player’s gun.

• Any part of the players clothing such as hats/helmets, vests, pouches or boots.

As soon as a player is HIT they must call the words “HIT” in a loud clear call so as to be heard by all players in the immediate area (this is to ensure no further shots are fired at that player). The player should turn their back to the enemy. The player then must point their weapon in a direction such as directly at the ground or preferably at the shy and keep it there for the duration of their dead time so as to indicate they are no longer a threat or active players and are indeed hit. Should it not be possible to hold the player’s gun upwards the player should raise their arm above their head whilst removing themselves form the direct area.

Once the player has confirmed being HIT they must then remove themselves from cover or any obstacle they are in or behind and depending on the type of game stay where they are for a TAG from a medic or when in a game that does not have a medic tag rule remove themselves from the area immediately.

How far will depend on the game but they should not be within the distance to be able to come alive and directly shoot the person or persons that shoot them.

When moving away from the area of which you were shot you must do so in a retreating fashion. By this you must move off in a direct that does not gain ground that your team does not presently hold or is held by the enemy. By rule you should always serve your dead time behind the lines of your teammates.

DEAD COUNT:

The time that a player remains HIT/DEAD can very from game to game (you will be informed by your team leader or game organizer of this change if there is one). But in general games the dead time is 1 minute and no less from the time of you confirming being HIT or reach your spawn point (game dependant).

Once the player is HIT they can NOT

1. talk to follow players

2. Give away information on other players such as there positions or current game status.

3. Observe the other team in such a way as to gain an advantage once they come alive.

You can however take this time to reload your magazines and weapons ensuring you do so presenting yourself as a dead player at the time.

ALIVE IN 10 SECOND CALLS

Once the player has counted 50 seconds of dead time they then are to make the “TEN” call as loud as they can so as to alert all players in the area that they are about to re-enter the game as an alive (shooting) player. In this ten second period the player should move themselves away from any direct enemy or on going conflict so as not to come alive in a point of advantage (again they should not be within distance to be able to come alive and shoot the person who shot them and not move off in a direction that gains ground that they have not already taken (is held by they team) or ground that is occupied by an enemy force.

Once the 10 second period has expired the player then calls “ALIVE” in a loud voice. Then and only then may they point and use their weapon and interact with their team mates and others in the game.

**please note it is considered good sportsmanship not to give away information such as enemy positions and movements observed while been deemed DEAD to other players. Such behavior can course a player to be labeled a CHEAT!

BANG RULE:

As a way of good sportsmanship and for player safety the BANG RULE is to be used when engaging another player in close combat (that is a distance of less than ten meters or areas or conditions where player safety could be compromised if shooting was to take place). When a player has a clear shot at another player at a distance of ten meters or less but one of the following conditions apply:

1. There is only the chance of a head shot

2. The other player is unaware they are about to be shot i.e. they are facing the other direction.

3. It would be generally unsafe or unsportsmanlike to fire

4. The gun you are using is NOT permitted to be fired at a target at that distance (some sniper rifles, upgraded guns)

The player then calls “BANG” at the player loud and clear also calling that players name if they know it.

That player is then declared dead the same as if they had been shot. If you as a player are banged you are to act the same as if you had been shot (refer to above rules).

At times a mutual bang may occur this happens when both players are both in the process of attempting to gain a bang on the other person or the current conflict has become unsafe for both players i.e. such as coming face to face with the enemy in a trench or shooting each other at such a close range it would be both unnecessary and unsafe.

**** please use caution when using the bang rule that you apply it in it’s correct place and not as a means of gaining advantage over multiple enemies or at a distance greater than which would necessitate the use of the bang rule.

Also As an important note where ever possible avoid head shots if you can try for centre mass or lower as head shots do hurt and this is the area most likely to coarse injury to a opponent. However if left with no other option and within the legal engagement distances you may take a head shot! Please use control and don’t rake the person as this a where good sportsmanship and judgment will be tested.

Anyone found conducting themselves in a dangerous or unreasonable manner can expect to be spoken to on the day by an official or their team leader.

Its tactical objectives were to secure a series of bridges over the main rivers of the German-occupied Netherlands by large-scale use of airborne forces together with a rapid advance by armored units along the connecting roads, for the strategic purpose of allowing an Allied crossing of the Rhine river, the last major natural barrier to an advance into Germany. The planned rapid advance from the Dutch-Belgian border into northern Germany, across the Maas (Meuse) and two arms of the Rhine (the Waal and the Lower Rhine), would have outflanked the Siegfried Line and made possible an encirclement of the Ruhr Area, Germany's industrial heartland.

On 17 September 1944 thousands of paratroopers descended from the sky by parachute or glider up to 150 km behind enemy lines. Their goal: to secure to bridges across the rivers in Holland so that the Allied army could advance rapidly northwards and turn right into the lowlands of Germany, hereby skirting around the Siegfried line, the German defence line. If all carried out as planned it should have ended the war by Christmas 1944.

Unfortunately this daring plan, named Operation Market Garden, didn't have the expected outcome. You are to do this with all haste as paratrooper units have been deployed to these bridges to secure them for your rapid egress. No town or bridge may be bypassed as any German pockets of resisitance behind the line will render the opperation usless. We need a clear clean road to Berlin men.

Your first stage of this operation is to advance from Lommel through the German 59th Infantry Division & take its garison town of Valkenswaard. The 59th is made up mostly of old men & children so should not give you much resistance. We expect elements of the 59th to be garrisoned in towns & bridges throughout this area.

From here push forward to Eindhoven Bridge over the Dommel River. Hopefully the 101st boys will have done their job & aready securd the bridge for you.

From the bridge, fight east & take the town of Eindhoven; then rendeveu with the 82nd Airbourne at Nimwegen Bridge on the Waal River.

From the Waal, take the small garrison town of Nimwegen, & then press on to the most important objective, Arnheim Bridge over the Rhein. We mut hold this bridge & if at all possible take Arnhem itself 1300.
Sunday the 27th of April

Back Ground

The Ardennes Offensive (16 December 1944 – 25 January 1945) was a major German offensive on the Western Front and was launched towards the end of World War II. This offensive was called Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein (Operation Watch on the Rhine) by the German armed forces (Wehrmacht). It was officially named the Battle of the Ardennes by the U.S. Army, but it is known to the general public simply as the Battle of the Bulge.

The offensive was launched in the Ardennes. The German offensive was supported by subordinate operations known as Unternehmen Bodenplatte, Unternehmen Greif, and Unternehmen Währung. Germany’s planned goal for these operations was to split the British and American Allied line in half, capturing Antwerp, Belgium, and then proceeding to encircle and destroy four Allied armies, forcing the Western Allies to negotiate a peace treaty in the Axis Powers’ favor.

The Ardennes Offensive was planned in total secrecy, in total radio silence. Although "Ultra", the Allies’ reading of secret German radio messages, suggested a possible German offensive, and the United States Third Army predicted a major German offensive, the attack still achieved surprise. The degree of surprise achieved was compounded by the Allies’ overconfidence, their preoccupation with their own offensive plans, poor aerial reconnaissance, and the relative lack of combat contact in the area by the U.S. 1st Army. Almost complete surprise against a weak section of the Allies’ line was achieved during heavy overcast weather, when the Allies’ strong air forces would be grounded.

The “bulge” was the initial incursion the Germans put into the Allies’ line of advance.

Most of the American casualties occurred within the first three days of battle, when two of the U.S. 106th Infantry Division’s three regiments were forced to surrender. The Battle of the Bulge was the bloodiest of the battles that U.S. forces experienced in World War II; the 19,000 American dead were unsurpassed by those of any other engagement. For the U.S. Army, the battle incorporated more troops and engaged more enemy troops than any conflict before that time. The German objectives ultimately were unrealized. In the wake of the defeat, many experienced German units were left severely depleted of men and equipment, as German survivors retreated to the defenses of the Siegfried Line. It was the last assault of any note made by the Germans on the Western Front in WWII.

AREA OF OPERATIONS

ONLY AREAS IN RED ARE YOU ALLOWED TO SHOOT AND CARRY A LOADED WEAPON!

These areas or the only legal game areas in which you are to operate for this game!

Using areas outside these to gain ground, advantage or engage the enemy will be considered cheating!

Rivers (roads) may only be crossed via friendly controlled bridges.

GAME LAND MARKS
