My ICS 47 CS4 is shooting at a low fps. When I first chrono'd it was shooting at around 250 FPS which I thought was pretty low. So I cleaned up the gear box as it was covered in grease from the previous owner. Once it was cleaned up it was shooting at 270 FPS which was still low. I then changed bbs to .20g increased it a little more also think that the magazines are reasonably old so may contribute but I am only new.

The barrel I have is a tight bore, gun has a mosfet installed, bought a brand new battery still shooting around 320fps. Would like to get more out of it though especially for playing in Tauranga in an outdoor environment.

Let me know any suggestions as I am keen to get it going better to have more of an impact in the field

See your local club armorer (most clubs have em), they will be aware of your club restrictions as well, especially if your new.

Also, FPS ain't everything, in fact it's only one thing, how quick the bb gets there. A good barrel and hop are far more important.

And fps is always gauged on a standard based on .20 ammo, so it's the only figure that counts.
