Day 2.

This day is a multi-objective strategic day that will run from 9am until 6pm. There will be two randomly selected teams, these teams will be made up with squads of 6 people. Each squad will be required to have a squad leader, a radio operator, a medic and an engineer.

On the day, the defenders will be taken to their HQ at Rabbit Island.

The Attackers will be picked up via Ferry and will proceed to their HQ via a beach landing, if there is anybody that does not want to partake in the landing please make this clear when you register.

Each team once selected, must appoint a commander. This will be essential to the tactical decisions required to achieve objectives throughout the day and the benefits that will come with attaining them. There will be an opportunity for these people to be involved in gaming throughout the day.

Due to the size of the field, there will be vehicular transport available for use by the commanders to allow for more strategic deployment of squads around the field.

An in depth briefing will be given to each team Saturday from 7:30pm.

The two following rules for the medic and engineer will be the main ones that each player will need to know for the day, so it is recommended that these are practised before attending so each player understands these rules and how they work practically.

Medic Rule: Each squad must have one medic. Only the medic can heal other players. Any player can heal a medic. Each medic will have an issue of medic tokens. Tokens are used to revive other players. No token is required to revive a medic. Once all tokens issued to the medic have been used he must return to HQ to be issued another lot of tokens. Once all tokens have been exhausted, players will not be able to be revived. It is therefore important for players/squads with tokens to return to their HQ at regular intervals to restock the medic tokens. The issue of new tokens must be recorded at HQ. Tokens will be counted at the end of the day, any lost tokens will count against the team that lost them.

Once a player is hit he must call out loudly “hit” and raise his gun and/or pull out a hit marker. A player who is hit may not talk unless it is to call for a medic. Once a medic gets to a hit player he hands over a token, then places both hands on the players shoulder and counts to 20, the medic may not shoot while he is healing a player, if he does then the count is restarted, once he reaches the 20 he will tap the player on the shoulder and let that person know that he is alive in ten seconds. The medic may then move away and play and shoot as normal. The hit player will call “alive in ten” and may fall back within this time to come alive. If the player he is healing is hit then the count is restarted. If the medic is hit while he is healing a player then the player that was being healed must return the token that was given.

Any player can revive a medic the same way with the exception that they will not be required to use a token. Any player may move a hit player to a safer location.

There will be an option of a 5 minute bleed out time for players. If this option is taken players will be required to return to their HQ and will have a re-spawn count of 5 minutes. This bleed out will be required to be recorded at the players HQ.

If a squad wipe occurs, the squad leader may choose to return to HQ and the squad can re-spawn after 5 minutes. If this occurs it will need to be recorded also.

Engineers: There are certain objectives throughout the day that only an engineer may engage with.

The main interaction that engineers will have to deal with are the mines. To ensure that a team’s transportation can travel around safely, mines will have to be cleared. Each area will be clearly marked, at the centre of each mined area will be a stopwatch. Only engineers will be allowed in a minefield, any other player that enters a minefield will be classified as “killed”, and will be required to return to their HQ to re-spawn as the damage done by a mine is considered too “great” to be revived by a medic.

Once an engineer makes it to the stopwatch he must start the timer, while the timer is going he may not leave the minefield while it is being “cleared”. However he may move anywhere within the minefield while the timer is on. The engineer must rack up an accumulative time of 15 minutes before the minefield is cleared. Once cleared the stick that the stopwatch will be on must be taken out of the ground and placed on the side of the road.

If an engineer is hit while clearing a minefield he must return to the stopwatch and stop the timer and then return to where he was hit. If an engineer has been hit only a medic is allowed into the minefield to revive or move him.

If the defending engineers can get to a minefield before it is completely cleared they may reset the stopwatch to zero, this represents the re-mining of the field and the attacking team must start over again.

There will be other objectives throughout the day that only engineers will be able to interact with, these objectives will be given throughout the day and will state who is to interact with it/them.

UPDATE: Two engineers can be in a minefield, this won't adjust the time taken to clear it, however if one engineer is hit then the timer won't need to be stopped.

Also, Medics can heal any player, but only a member from his own squad can heal a medic. Also tokens can be given from one Medic to another if he can spare them.

Added info:

• No SMOKING, NO EXCEPTIONS. LEGAL REQUIRMENT.

• No TAG Rounds.

• No CO2 Grenades

• No stun/sound grenades

• No smoke grenades

• No PYRO of any kind.

• Yes BB shower grenades, but must be thrown under arm. May not be Blind thrown

• Yes M203 shells

• Yes C02 pistols, but they must be chrono'd and under 1.13j

TNL Gear Transportation Offer.

We have gotten in touch with TNL to offer a unique service that NAC used for the last Nationals in Auckland. To help save costs for North Island players TNL have a discounted offer of $100 p/metre3 (a $30 discount). The maximum size they can take is a 1metre wide x 1.2metre long x 1.5 metre high box, which in total costs $180 one way. This is essentially a “chep” pallet with sides and a lid. Any club/team that wishes to use this unique opportunity needs to pm myself if they are interested or if they have any questions about this.
